What we do
Ten services on the list, but these are the ones that fill the diary.
Clipper work taken down to the skin and blended clean through the sides and back, finished with scissor detail on top.
The full traditional service. Hot towels, pre-shave oil, badger brush lather and a straight razor, twice over.
Any haircut paired with a full beard sculpt. Our most-booked appointment.

The shop
Marcus opened the Fade Room in 2014 with one chair and a secondhand backbar, and has cut every appointment in it since. It stays small on purpose: one pair of hands, one standard, and nobody leaves the chair until it's right.
Forty-five minutes is the standard appointment, not twenty. Nobody gets rushed out for the next booking.
Hot towels, badger brush, straight razor. Twenty-two years of wet shaving, and none of it done in a hurry.
Your notes are on file — how you like it, what you're growing out. No re-explaining yourself every six weeks.

Owner & Master Barber
Opened the Fade Room in 2014 after eleven years on Jermyn Street. Trained in traditional wet shaving and still thinks a straight razor beats anything with a battery in it. Cuts every appointment himself.

What people say
Pulled from Google. We have not hidden the quiet ones — there just aren't many.
“Been going to Marcus for six years and I've never once had to explain what I want. He just knows. The hot towel shave is worth the money on its own.”
“Booked online at eleven at night, got a slot for the next morning, and the reminder text meant I actually turned up. Best fade I've had in Tel Aviv.”
“Took my son for his first proper haircut and Marcus was unbelievably patient with him. He asked to go back the following week, which tells you everything.”
“Proper barber, not a salon pretending. Sorted out a beard I'd let get completely out of hand and made it look deliberate.”
“Quiet chair, good coffee, no small talk when I didn't want any. A craftsman, and the place feels like it's been there forever.”
“I've moved across the city twice and still come back here. That should probably tell you how good it is.”
